
The Chairman of Shooting Stars Supporters club Comrade Lateef Femi Ajala has lauded the Organization and Disciplinary (O and D) Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the decision on the center referee and match assessor of the match between Heartland Football club of Owerri and Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan at the Dan Anyiam stadium on Sunday.
Speaking in Ibadan while reacting to the the encounter, Comrade Ajala explained that the decision was punitive enough as the demotion was enough deterrent to other referees who might want to engage in such inglorious act.
He posited that the decision to equally step down the referee assessor was good noting that the referee engaged in the melodrama because of the fear for his life and safety after the ill fated match which ended 2-1 in favour of Heartland football club.
