Prince Adenrele Imran Adegoke, one of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in Oyo State’s Civil Service, has called on civil servants to demonstrate greater commitment to the advancement of the state under Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
In an interview with Oodua News in Ibadan, Prince Adegoke emphasized that the state has made significant progress in human and economic development since Governor Makinde assumed office in 2019. He encouraged workers to see their roles as central to the state’s growth, which would, in turn, benefit both them and the entire state.
He stated, “Under Governor Seyi Makinde, Oyo State has witnessed massive development across various sectors. I can confidently say that his leadership has been a blessing to the state.
His developmental agenda is evident in landmark projects that have fostered peace, progress, and all-around growth.”
Prince Adegoke commended the governor for his fair and responsible governance since 2019, urging civil servants to cooperate with the administration and contribute to the state’s continued development.
He also reflected on the leadership displayed during the Covid-19 pandemic, stating, “While other states were in lockdown, Governor Makinde ensured that Oyo State remained open, allowing citizens to carry on with their daily activities.
“His leadership was pivotal in ensuring adequate sensitization and compliance with safety measures, making the state a model during that challenging period.”
The new Permanent Secretary highlighted Governor Makinde’s emphasis on merit in his appointments during the new year prayer program, noting that the recent selection of Permanent Secretaries was based on 80% merit. He praised the governor’s dedication to high standards of service and commitment.
Prince Adegoke concluded by applauding the governor for starting the new year with prayers and words of encouragement. He urged civil servants to align with the governor’s vision to foster a prosperous future for Oyo State in 2025 and beyond.
