No body can stop the progress of his or her fellow men and women for only God is the Almighty.
The declaration was made by His Grace, Most Rev’d. Williams Oluwarotimi Aladekugbe who is the Bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese and Archbishop of Ibadan province during the sermon he delivered at the Cathedral of St Peter Aremo, Ibadan for new year thanksgiving service.
Quoting from the gospel of St. Matthew chapter 2:12, and having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod. they returned to their country by another route,” stating that, king Herod wanted to kill Jesus but God prevented it.
Further more, Archbishop Aladekugbe said the gifts of gold , incense and myrrh to Jesus portrayed Jesus as king, priest ,and preservation of His dead body.
According to the preacher, the lessons learned from the birth of Jesus Christ and gifts received thought us to give God our heart , time , devotion honour Him and endure in any situation we find ourselves, assuring
the congregation that God is in full control .
The cleric admonished the political leaders at levels to reduce the pains, anger, hunger and insecurity of lives and property of governed this year, he however prayed for our leaders and the entire citizenry serve Nigeria better and be our brothers and sisters keepers, wishing all and sundry happy and prosperous new year,
