Themed “Power to Enter the Promised Land,”  Prayerthon is an annual spiritual exercise that provides an opportunity for church members and other members of different denominations to seek God’s guidance, pray for the body of Christ, and intercede for the nation.

It’s a yearly spiritual prayer and intercessory programme to prepare believers for the new year to  start with God in order to draw spiritual strength, direction, instruction and favour from God as it pertains to their set goals for the year.

It is  also a time of corporate prayers for believers to commit the nation into the hands of God for the year.

However, the 7 storey prayer tower will also be opened to members of the church and the public as well for prayers between 9am and 4pm daily. The Prayerthon programme which is  7 hour marathon prayers will run  from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m on Saturday 4th January, 2025.

Speaking about the programme, the General Overseer, Reverend (Dr.) Moses Olanrewaju Aransiola, explained that Prayerthon is a tradition of the Ministry inspired by the Holy Spirit after a period of intense prayer.

He emphasized its purpose as a time for fasting, fervent prayers, and intercession to prepare participants for the year ahead.

He encouraged members to fully commit to the programme, stating, “Prayerthon is a period of spiritual exercise where participants engage in fasting and prayers, often spanning days or weeks.

“It includes specific prayer watches where members focus on targeted intercession aligned with the programme’s theme”Power to Enter the Promised Land”.

Reverend Aransiola highlighted the transformative impact of  Prayerthon on individuals and the church as a whole, noting that it has sparked spiritual revival among participants over the years.
