
The Aare Musulumi of Adamasingba and Environs in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, Chief (Dr) Raymond Adeyinka Adewale has described the demise of renowned Islamic preacher, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, as a colossal loss to the entire Muslim community in Yoruba land, and overseas.
Recalled that the Islamic cleric passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at age 84, after a brief illness and has been buried according to Islamic rites.
The Aare Musulumi in a statement described Sheikh Bello as a Muslim Cleric who through his messages contributed to the development of Islam, adding that his achievements would remain indelible in Islam.
While extending his condolences to the Muslim community, family of the late Muslim Cleric, the people of Ibadan, Oyo State and Yorubaland, Dr Raymond equally called for prayers for the family of late Ajani Bello.
The statement read: “Sheik Bello was a great man who contributed immensely to the growth of Islam in Nigeria and particularly ,in Yorubaland. His contributions to Islam no doubt resonated across boundaries and had positive impacts in the lives of many Muslims.
The vacuum his demise has created will be difficult to fill, as his words and actions served as a source of inspiration and direction for many Muslims across Yorubaland and Nigeria.
The Aare Musulumi also noted that his sermons during Ramadan lectures and other Muslim festivals had great and positive impacts in the lives of the people.
Chief ( Dr) Raymond prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
