

The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abduganiy Abubarka Agbotomokekere, has commended the Aare Musulumi of Adamasingba and its environs, Chief (Dr.) Raymond (AbdulRahman) Adeyinka Adewale, for his dedication to Islam, humanity, and his efforts towards reconstructing the Adamasingba Central Mosque into a modern facility.

Sheikh Agbotomokekere made these remarks during a courtesy visit of Dr. Raymond Adewale and his entourage to the Chief Imam at his residence in Oja Oba, Ibadan. He praised Dr. Adewale’s consistent contributions to Islam and the humanity, noting that his commitment has not gone unnoticed.

According to him, the philanthropic actions and gestures of Dr. Raymond Adewale who is the Chairman and CEO of Aryfad Travels and Tours Limited will surely be honored.
He stated, “Your philanthropic gestures to humanity and unwavering commitment to Islam have not gone unnoticed, and they will be duly rewarded and honoured.”
He also expressed gratitude to the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for pledging to assist in the Mosque’s reconstruction.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has assured me of his support in transforming the Adamasingba Central Mosque at the old Race Course into a modern facility. Your commitment to this project is both commendable and timely. With his support, I am optimistic that your vision will be realized.”
The Chief Imam thanked Dr. Raymond Adewale for his visit, expressing hope for positive developments arising from their collaboration. “Your efforts will be honored by my office as Chief Imam of Ibadan land; you are indeed a son of the soil,” he assured.
Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), Sheikh AbdulWahab Hashim Atere, praised Dr. Adewale as a philanthropist dedicated to humanity and Islam.
Sheikh Atere described Dr. Adewale’s initiative to reconstruct the old mosque as a welcomed development, noting that history will remember his generous contributions.
“I must emphasize that Dr. Raymond Adewale is a man of impeccable character and integrity,” said Sheikh Atere. “He is a leader committed to the welfare of those around him and to advancing the cause of Islam and humanity. He truly deserves this honor from the Chief Imam.”
In his response, Dr. Raymond Adewale expressed gratitude for the Chief Imam’s warm reception and acknowledged the Imam’s quality leadership. “I am here today to appreciate and thank you for your continuous support, particularly for your approval of the titles of Seriki Adini and Aare Musulumi of Adamasingba and its environs conferred upon me. Your leadership has not gone unnoticed,” he said.
Dr. Adewale explained that his intention to reconstruct the mosque was motivated by a desire to provide a suitable place of worship for Yoruba Muslims and others in the area. “The Central Mosque, built over 90 years ago, has deteriorated significantly. To preserve this legacy of our forefathers, I embarked on this reconstruction project.”
The event was attended by prominent council members from the Chief Imam’s office, including Dr. Baari Adetunji, Alhaji Ismael Itamaya, Alhaji Maroof Ayetoro, and Mogaji Abdulwasi Adegbeye, among others.
Also, members of Aryfad Travels and Tours Limited at the visit included, Kareem Sulaimon, Lawal Zainab, Adekunle Roqeeb, Mustapha Tomiwa, Adekunle Lukman and the Media Officer Richard Kunle Thomas.
