Spread the love

The Chairman and CEO of UcheKinze Nigeria Limited, Sir Kinze Isaac Okonkwo, has urged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of helping others and contribute to the nation’s development, stating that the government alone cannot handle it all.

The philanthropist made this statement on Wednesday during the donation of multi-million Naira seating to the management of Ibadan Airport, located in the Alakia area of Ibadan.

According to Sir Kinze, the donation was in appreciation of the kindness and professionalism exhibited by the staff and management of the airport previously.

“The motive behind donating these chairs to the airport stems from my passion to help address one of the challenges the airport faces,” he said. “I encourage other citizens to follow this example and contribute to the progress of our nation’s airports.”

He further explained, “This donation is my way of saying thank you to the airport staff for the courtesies extended to me sometimes. Their hospitality when I came here to board a flight left a strong impression, and it inspired me to give back in this way.”

Sir Kinze expressed satisfaction at fulfilling his goal, adding, “I am indeed happy to have donated these chairs, and I urge all Nigerians to support development in our communities and society at large.”

In his message to the public, Sir Kinze emphasized the need for unity and love, saying, “We need unity and love to live peacefully in Nigeria. Though the country faces challenges, by showing love and fostering peaceful coexistence, we can achieve national progress.”

He also used the occasion to commend Governor Seyi Makinde for the success of the flag off program to upgrade to Ibadan Airport, which will elevate it to international status. He described this development as a significant milestone for the state and the people.

“I urge Nigerians to join forces and contribute to the nation’s progress. Collaborative efforts are key to making a lasting impact, not just in Nigeria but across Africa. It’s important that we take responsibility for our communities and not rely solely on government intervention,” Sir Kinze remarked.

He further stressed the importance of collective responsibility, stating that individual efforts, combined with government initiatives, can bring about meaningful change and national growth.

He called on Nigerians to harness their collective strength to address the country’s socio-economic challenges.

In response, the acting manager of Ibadan Airport, Francis Balogun, praised Sir Kinze for his generosity and urged other Nigerians to follow his example.

“I want to sincerely thank Sir Kinze Okonkwo for his wonderful gesture. It is highly commendable, and I pray that God continues to bless and uphold you,” Balogun said. He added, “If more people emulate this kind of philanthropy, we will have fewer challenges to overcome as a nation.”
