The Chairman of the Oyo state chapter of Ohanaeze Youth wing Chief Wilfred Madu has stated that he is in support of the state President of the body Chief Ndidi Nzeako who stands by the judgement of the State high court delivered by Justice Moshood Olagunju in July, 2018 which affirmed the later as the authentic President of the body and the late Dr Alex Anozie as the Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state .
Speaking in reaction to the press conference held recently by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Chief Nzeako who disclosed that the judgement of the court appeal is not binding on the body since they did not participate in the selection or election process which ushered Chief Alloy Okwudili Obi as the Onyendu Ndigbo in Ibadan and Oyo state, Chief Madu disclosed that the press conference enabled Ndigbo to know the truth which can not be hidden for long no matter how much one tried.
The Ohanaeze Youth President explained that the press conference also enabled them to know that the judgement was done by zoom instead of the conventional practice where all the parties to the case would be present in court while judgement delivered by the Judges after counsels handling the case must have made their addresses and submissions pointing out that this has revealed so much lies and misinformation and misrepresentation about the truth.
He reiterated that he still stands firmly by the Oyo state high court judgement delivered by Justice Moshood Olagunju in July,2018 where he affirmed Chief Nzeako as President of the body and the late Dr Anozie as the Ezendigbo of Ibadan land and Oyo state stressing that the Igbo community Development Association (ICDA) is the only group recognized by Oyo state Government, the Olubadan and the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
Chief Madu said further that ICDA is the body sanctioned by the late Ikemba of Nnewi and Ezendigbo gburugburu the late Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu who raised the late Ezendigbo Dr Alex Anozie hands up as the authentic Ezendigbo in Ibadan land and Oyo state noting that Igbo Community of Oyo state (ICOS) which metamorphosed to Igbo General Assembly (IGA) are made of a few individuals followers of Chief Nduka Oramadike and Chief Obi.
He therefore enjoined Ndigbo and every member of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo not to be carried away by the activities of the later which he observed are geared towards misleading them for their own pecuniary interests and for the generality of Ndigbo.
