An appeal has gone to the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde to consider the reconstruction of the 18 kilometer road of Isemi Ile- Ado Awaye in Kajola Local Government area of the state in order to boost and re awaken the moribund economic activities of the area.
The appeal followed a motion moved by Hon. Musibau Azeez titled, ” Passionate Appeal to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde on the Need to Construct Isemi Ile- Ado Awaye Road in Kajola Local Government Area in Oyo State”

Hon Azeez in the motion noted that the road since it’s deplorable condition has affected the economic activities of residents of the area, hence the appeal to state governor on the issue.
According to him, some parts of the road which was constructed 30 years ago has been abandoned for many years due to its bad condition, adding that the road is long over due for full reconstruction.
“The Isemi Ile- Ado Awaye road in Kajola Local Government serves as a link to many parts of Oke Ogun, the North, Badagry and Lagos State where many people have their farms and where many villages exist.
“Due to the bad condition of the roads, four major markets namely, Towobowo, Araromi- Oke, Araromi- Isale and Irewolede had not been able to function for so many years, while movement and and business activities have been negatively affected as a result of the bad state of the road in question.
“These aforementioned markets were majorly for selling of farm produce and these activities served as means of livelihood for the people of the area, but now, the market no longer operates due to the bad condition of the road.”
Hon. Azeez (Action) while commending the state governor for his developmental strides under his Omituntun 1.0 noted that parts of the area which serve as cashew crop plantation could also serve a major source of revenue for the state government, thereby improve and boost the economic activities of the area.
