The Executive Chairman Ibadan South West Local Government Hon.Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, has congratulated the Oyo state Governor,’Seyi Makinde ,Olubadan of Ibadaland Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) and all Ibadan sons and daughters on the successful conduct of its annual events..
In a congratulatory message, the council boss said”I congratulate our esteemed Governor, His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde,for his tireless efforts in developing our dear State”
I also congratulates the Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the President of CCII Chief Sulaiman Ajeniyi Adewole for his leadership in promoting our rich cultural heritage to the sons and daughters of Ibadan land
The Council boss noted that CCII’s annual celebration is a vibrant showcase of Ibadan’s cultural identity, featuring music, dance, and art, which is remarkable in lives of every Ibadan indigenes*
in His keynote address, at the occasion, the Governor of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde who was accompanied by His deputy Chief Bayo Lawal, His darling wife Engr Mrs Tamunonini Olufunke Makinde congratulated sons and daughters of Ibadan, CCII president Chief Adewole and the entire citizens of Oyo State*
Governor Makinde further noted that, creation of Ibadan State and the upgrade of Alakia Airport to international Airport is in the pipeline and will soon come to reality He therefore appealed to everyone who will participate in the protest scheduled for August to do it peacefully in order not to turn it to riot
The Political Head/ Administrator of Ibadan West LCDA who doubles as the Vice Chairman Ibadan South West LG,Hon Adigun Tajudeen Adeniyi in his goodwill message rejoiced with the entire indigenes of Ibadanland and wishes everyone a fun filled celebration*
Furthermore, the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaja Olatoyosi Amudat Salau who was ably represented by Director of Education and Social Services Mrs Folasade Odekanmi congratulated all Ibadan indigenes both home and abroad, urged them to always be good ambassadors wherever they find themselves and prayed for many more of this celebration on earth*
