The ancient city of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital will be agog on Sunday July 28, 2024 as eminent personalities and leaders of the country will storm the Felicia Hall of the Prestigious Jogor Event Centre Liberty Road, Ibadan to celebrate the 70th birthday and anniversary of over four decades of divine call to Gospel Music Ministry of gospel music legend Evangelist (Dr) Funmi Aragbaiye in grand style.
The occasion which will attract de cream dela cream in our society will have former President, Chief Olusegun Okikiola Obasanjo GCFR as the father of the day and Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde (FNSE) as the Chief Host. The classic occasion will commence by 1pm.
The celebrant who is former President of Gospel Musician Association of Nigeria (GOMAN) in an interview with Oodua News Newspaper said the occasion is aimed at appreciating God’s mercy and faithfulness on attaining 70 years on the surface of the earth and the accomplishment of over four decades of her divine call into Gospel Music Ministry.
“The twin celebration is aimed at appreciating God’s mercy and faithfulness in my life. Nigeria’s former President, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Okikiola Obasanjo is the father of day’, Aragbaiye Said.
The programme according to her will feature the unveiling of her Biography book as well as the launch of her foundation, Zion Foundation established to support the less privileged in the society.
“Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of Redeem Christians Church of God (RCCG) worldwide is the spiritual father of the day.
“Other notable dignitaries who will grace the occasion are Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Osile Oke-Ona Egba, Oba (Dr) Adedapo Tejuoso as royal fathers of the day.”
