Oluyole Local Government will soon become a model in Oyo, Says Council boss

The Chairman, Oluyole Local government area of Oyo State, Engr. Akeem Olatunji has declared  that the Council under his administration will soon became a model for other local governments in the state before the end of his administration.

Engr. Olatunji made the declaration in a chat with Oodua News Newspaper in his office, Idi Ayunre, saying his administration has started works in that regard to achieve an economy that will blossom in food and security for the people of the council area.

According to him, the local government under him is poised to serve the people in grassroots development capable of transforming their lives.

“The local government under my watch is ready to serve the people and achieve grassroots development such that will enhance the living conditions of the people. The cardinal point of my administration include agriculture,  education, health, good roads, empowerment of aged women and the youths, provision of security among others.”

The council boss said his administration is working in tandem with the developmental agendas of the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde,  hence, the initiatives to embark on programmes that will boost food productions and  security in the  Local Government.

“We are happy that we have a governor who is really working hard to ensure the well being of the people and  advancement of the state. If you look around in the state, you will agree that things are changing for the best.”

“We are already building on what we met on ground in Oluyole Local Government, my predecessor has tried his best in improving the council, we will build upon his developmental programmes to make the local government a model for other councils in the state.

Speaking on his plan, he said his administration will embark on massive agriculture project, adding that Oluyole Local Government has fertile and massive arable land to achieve the objective.

According to him, Oluyole local government has the highest land for poultry in Africa, hence, the reason his administration is taking the issue of security very important.

“We are going into agriculture to produce food and job for the people of the council. The state governor has done well in agriculture, a visit to Fashola Farms  and one ongoing in Akuro will convince you that the governor has succeed in the area of agriculture. 

“A lot of investors are already coming into the state to invest in the sector. We are going to replicate and complement the gesture of the  governor in revamping the economy of Oluyole Local Government.”

“Very soon, we are going to have more of the Amotekun security post in the local government, one is already functional, more will commence work soon, he said.
