Lawyer to late Super Eagles highest goal scorer -Rasidi Yekini, Barrister Jubril Mohammed has opined that it will difficult if not impossible for Nigeria to qualify for the next World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico.
Speaking in Ibadan, Barrister Mohammed said that the situation is made difficult because many of the SuperEagles opponents namely South Africa, Rwanda and Zimbabwe are ahead of Nigeria in their group adding that the matter is further compounded by the fact that Nigeria still have to play South Africa away even though they could beat the others if they are serious.
He explained that the South African team which is already ahead of the Super Eagles will be aiming to inflict a defeat against them in Johannesburg pointing out that that the attitude of Nigerian players is nothing to write home about.
Barrister Mohammed who has also organized the Nigeria Premier Football League highest goal scorer award said Super Eagles players no longer have the hunger to play for the country compared to the past when they could readily die playing for the nation.
He observed that Nigerian players have also lost respect and fear for the indigenous coaches hence will not put much effort adding that the Super Eagles players respect anything white.
Barrister Mohammed stated that the only thing that can bring competition to the Super Eagles is the introduction of white coaches noting that Nigerians don’t value anything indigenous whether cloth, shoe or even themselves stressing that this situation will lead to the team not qualifying for the World Cup .
