The Coalition of Pro- Democracy Groups for a Better Nigeria have felicitated

the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-and Rt (Hon) Femi Gbajabiamila, CFR, former Speaker of House of Representatives and now Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on their birthdays.

In a Press release signed and made available by it’s National Coordinator, Comrade Awa Bamiji said the the duo have long become household names in Nigeria for their individual achievements and sterling performances.

Comrade Awa Bamiji said “When we are talking of service to Humanity and to the fatherland, Lagos State, Southwest and Nigeria at large, they both stand tall.

“They are both great Politicians, seasoned Administrators, Grassroot Mobilisers of uncommon dimensions.

“The history of Lagos State, Southwest and Nigeria from advent of present Democracy in 1999 till date will be incomplete without reference to your noble names.

“Your achievements know no bounds most especially in the areas of human and capital developments, celebration of Heroes and Heroines of Democracy and your individual contributions to recent celebration of 30 Anniversary of Epetedo Self – Declaration and 31 Anniversary of June 12 held both in Lagos State and Abuja remain unquantifiable.

“You have given hope to the hopeless, voice to the voiceless, sight to the blinds and it’s only God Almighty that will reward you abundantly.

“History will surely be kind on both of you. To a discerning mind, you are doing wonders on daily basis as Heroes of Today’s Democracy

“It’s noteworthy to say that with help of Almighty God, Rt (Hon) Femi Gbajabiamila maintained a perfect streak of re – Elections as Federal Honourable representing Surulere Federal Constituency, Lagos State, over a period of 2 Decades between 2003 to 2023, when he was appointed as Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“In 2011, he publicly rejected the National Honour offered him by former President Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, but was happy to receive “Akinkanju Omo Odu’a” Award presented to him by Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba, Grand Council of Yoruba Youths, later, inside the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

“In 2021, when hope of celebrating MKO Abiola Epetedo Self – Declaration @ 27 was almost lost despite grand preparation, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu geniunely expressed interest to see it to a logical conclusion just on the Eve of the event during our discussion on the observation made by late Hon Sola Lawal, late Special Assistant to former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and to the glory of Almighty God, he intervened positively.

“This is nothing but “geniune building on the legacy that was left behind by Mr President as former 2 term Governor of Lagos State”.

“These are just few instances out of several Bridges and Rivers that we have crossed together as Partners in Progress over 2 Decades.

“To this end, we are joyfully rolling out drums and blowing trumpets to celebrate our triumph over the forces of Tyranny and Oppression under your able and joint leadership.
