Ibadan North Council Chairman’s  Wife, Aramide  distributes food items to Widows

Wife of the Chairman, Ibadan North Local Government area of Oyo State, Mrs Aramide Olufade (Onala) has admonished women in the council area to embrace  more hygienic measures within their household and community to guide against the out break of cholera disease.

Mrs Olufade gave the charge while distributing food items to 60 widows across the 12 wards in the council, adding that the development was part of efforts to complement the food security programmes of  Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.

Mrs Olufade who was ably represented wife of the Vice Chairman, Mrs Ayoade Suliat said  the situation which is fast become an issue need to be curtail with high hygienic measures such as  clean environment, safety measures and well cooked food that will strengthen the body organs.

She admonished the beneficiaries to make good use of the items for their good health, just as she assured that more other benefits are in the pipeline.

The food items which were distributed included Rice, Sugar, Salt, Maggi,  Tomato pastes and others.

Speaking on behalf of the widows, Mrs Hadijat Lamidi from ward 8 of the local government lauded the gestures of wife of the council chairman, describing it as a welcome development and very commendable.

She assured Mrs Aramide of the cooperation of the women and widows in the Local Government, adding the administration of her husband will always enjoy unflinching and robust support from them.

Present at the programme are wife of the vice chairman, Mrs Ayoade Suliat, Director, Department of Education and Social Services Alhaja Ganiyat Durodola, the Information Officer, Mrs Foluso Lala and host of other officers
