A lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North Constituency in the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Bisi Oluranti Oyewo- Michael has promised to advocate for more developments for members of the constituency and be the voice for the voiceless.
The assurance by Hon. Bisi Micheal followed the success achieved in the last one year since the inauguration of the 10th Assembly.
Hon Bisi Micheal who is the Chairman, House Committee on Culture and Tourism, noted that the achievements of the past year has provided a foundation of hope and demonstrate what is possible when there is a collective commitment to progress and unity.
Said She, “Exactly a year today, this day marks a significant milestone in our journey together. You entrusted me with the privilege and responsibility of representing our constituency at the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly. I am deeply honored by your support and the confidence you have in me.
“For the past 12 months since my inauguration at the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly, we have worked tirelessly to address the pressing issues facing our communities. Our collective efforts have made a difference, and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together.”
The legislator said one of the most notable milestones was moving comprehensive legislative motions aimed at caring for the less privileged, creating job opportunities, enhancing their educational sectors, improving road network and others.
According to her, some of the notable achievements recorded included: Health Issuance scheme, Solar Light-Up Assistance, distribution of food items and cash to ease economic hardship.
Others are support for Christmas, support for Ileya, support for fasting, maiden football competition, quadruplets support, sponsor of candidates to coaching academy, cash support to individuals among others.
“As we reflect on this year of milestones and memories, it is clear that while significant progress has been made, there is still much work to be done. However, the achievements of the past year has provided a foundation of hope and demonstrate what is possible when there is a collective commitment to progress and unity.
“I know that there is still much work to be done while making progress, I promise to keep on advocating and be the voice for the voiceless.
Hon. Bisi Micheal then urged members of the constituency to continue to engage with her, share their feedback, and actively participate in the democratic process, saying, together, they will overcome any challenge and build up a brighter future for Ogbomoso North Constituency.
While promising to remain committed, and be responsive, accountable and accessible to everyone throughout her journey in office, the Vibrant lawmaker said
the achievements of the year has been a testament to the enduring strength of their political systems and the unwavering spirit of the people, adding that, “as we move forward, the lessons learned and the milestones achieved will serve as guiding lights on the path to a more just and prosperous future.
