Itesiwaju LG observes monthly prayer meeting,celebrates ex Chairman, Ojo Akintola

It was an atmosphere of great joy and thanksgiving to God for witnessing another month  at the legislative hall of Itesiwaju Local Government,Otu, as  the entire staff of the council gathered to observe the June edition of their monthly inter-denominational  prayer meeting.

 The Islamic prayer was rendered by Engr. Kareem Kabir, the imam of the council after a short sermon, while the Christian prayer was offered by the chaplain of same LG, Evangelist Jenrade Janet.

 The prayer session focused on the  the new administration in the council and Thanksgiving to God for the successful ending of the last tenure.

 Alhaji Salam Ismail Oladele, the director of Agric of the LG  narrated the dealings and experiences with the former chairman, his character as a gaol getter, a man he simply described as an epitome of patience with a large heart.

Further, sanitarian ( Mrs) Ariori Racheal, on behalf of the HLGA  of the council ( princess Adediran o.o) expressed her gratitude to God  for given special grace to the immediate past Chairman, Hon. Ojo Bolaji Akintola, for successful completion of his term of office peacefully.

She also appreciated the entire management team and staff for the support given to the former Chairman, then sued for more cooperation and prayers for the new chairman.

 Thus, a gift of beautifully painted portrait was presented to the former Chairman by the duo of Sanitarian Ariori Racheal and comrade Taofeek Tijani in appreciation of the pleasant deeds of Hon. Akintola, acknowledging him as a good leader.

    In his words, Hon. Ojo Bolaji Akintola, the immediate past Chairman, in an aura of great joy and gratitude to God, thanked  the management and the entire staff for the unflinching support and encouragement given to to him during his tenure of office. He also solicited better level of support for the new administration in the LG.

   Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ojo monsur Olayemi, the executive chairman of the LG said contrary to his believe that career officers do not like political functionaries, what he saw here was now a great challenge to him to do even more than his best. He then called on the entire staff to give him maximum support, encouragement and cooperation not forgetting to always pray for him to have soft landing like his predecessor.
