
The Aare Musulumi of Adamasingba and Environs in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, Chief (Dr.) Raymond Adewale (AbdulRahman) has congratulated Muslim faithfuls in country on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir coming up on Sunday,16 2024, just as he admonished them to celebrate the festival with moderation.
The Aare of Musulumi in a statement urged Muslims to maintain high level of discipline and moderation as they celebrate this year festival, owing to the harsh economic situation in the country.
According to him, the Eid-El-Kabir is a festival which brings joy to all Muslims and the people generally, urging them to celebrate with moderation, and avoid incuring debt because of the occasion.
He said the celebration will come and go, but the debt incurred during the festival will remain and become a burden thereafter.
“As the auspicious occasion of Eid-El-Kabir approaches, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Muslim faithfuls all over the nation, this sacred festival, also known as Eid al-Adha, is a time of immense joy, reflection, and devotion, and it is with great pleasure that I join in celebrating this significant event with you.
Eid-El-Kabir, commemorates the profound faith and unwavering obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to Allah’s command, which serves as a powerful reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, commitment, and faith. It is a time when the spirit of giving and the act of sharing with those less fortunate are beautifully exemplified, reinforcing the bonds of community and compassion.
“On this blessed occasion, I pray that Allah’s blessings be upon you and your family. May He accept your sacrifices, grant your prayers, and shower you with His mercy and grace. May this Eid bring you peace, prosperity, and happiness, filling your heart with contentment and joy.
“As you gather with family and friends to celebrate this significant festival, may your home be filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of togetherness. Eid-El-Kabir is a time to reflect on our blessings and to express gratitude for the abundance we enjoy. The Aare Musulumi who is also the Chairman, Aryfad Travels and Tours Limited Ibadan, appealed to government to improve on the economy of the country in order to ease the masses of hardship they are going through, adding that the soaring prices of good and items may deprive the people of celebrating the festival as they would have done.
The Aare Musulumi therefore admonished the well to do among the Muslims to reach out to those who may not have the means to celebrate the occasion, saying giving is part of the commandments of Almighty Allah
