The National Vice President of Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP) in Nigeria, Engr. Samuel  Dayo Opeyemi has assured that the association will continue to embark on standard practice and operation, in order to further achieve quality measures in the system.

Engr. Opeyemi gave the assurance in a telephone conversation with Oodua News Newspaper, adding that the association will continue to discharge its duty in line with working standard and  regulations of  the association, while it fights against quackery and others to standstill.

According to him, the association has been given the mandate by federal government to rehabilitate and revitalize all moribund boreholes across the nation including the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja).

“We are duly recognized by the federal government with the mandate to rehabilitate all moribund  boreholes in the country. The association has been established in 27 states of the country with firm discharge of it’s duty, and we will continue to discharge our duty in line with standard practice of the association.

According to him, the association through standard practice has continued  to contribute.immensely to the water sector by bringing up good measures and  fight against quackery among others.

“The function of the association is basically to ensure standard practice in  the drilling of boreholes in order to achieve safe, 

 clean and hygienic water for consumption in the country. Water is life, hence, quality water is important to healthy and quality life, he added.

He assured Nigerians that the Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners will continue to ensure standard practice and compel stakeholders  which include Association of Table Water Practitioner in the water sector abide by the rules of providing quality and hygienic water for Nigerians.

Engr. Opeyemi used the occasion to congratulate President Bola Tinubu on his first year in office, urging him to continue to embark on projects that will advance the course of the nation.

He  lauded the economic and political initiatives of the President in the last one year, urging Nigerians to continue to pray for him in order to lead the nation in the right direction.

While commending the decision of President Bola Tinubu on the return of the old national anthem, he called for more support for him in  order to move Nigeria forward.
