Ibadan North LG boss, Olufade solicits members cooperation, unity to move council forward

The Chairman, Ibadan North Local Government area of Oyo State, Honourable Oluwaseun Olufade (ONALA) has charged the people  of the local government to cooperate with his administration and the vision of the state Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde in order to  improve the state.

Hon. Olufade gave the charge at the swearing-in of newly elected councillors for the 12 wards across the local government area at the council Secretariat, Agodi-Gate, Ibadan.

He admonished the lawmakers to carry out the responsibility bestowed on them  with the dear of God, in order to better the lots of the people, saying to whom much is given, much is expected. 

“Let’s work hand-in-glove  as partners in progress by supporting Governor Seyi Makinde led administration in the state and by extension the management of this noble local government to bring more dividends of democracy to our people.

“Your work is to make laws for the betterment of the people and I urge you to  do so with the fear of God and love for the people by coming up with laws that will positively transform our local government.

At the first sitting of the Legislative members, principal officers were selected, who include Honourable Taiwo Adebola from Ward 4 emerging the Leader of the House; Honourable Sulaiman Ajao, Ward 12, Deputy Leader; Honourable Sunday Abiola, Ward 11, Majority Leader;  and Honourable Feranmi Oniwinde from Ward 3 who emerged as the Chief Whip of the House.
