
The immediate past Chairman of Irepo Local Government area of Oyo State, Pastor (Hon.) Joel Oyedokun Oyetunji, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to key figures and the entire community as he concluded his tenure of office.
In a statement, Oyetunji extended his appreciation to the Governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the Deputy Governor, Barrister Adebayo Lawal, for a rear opportunity given to him and their unwavering support and guidance throughout his tenure.
Oyetunji also thanked the Iba of Kisi, His Royal Majesty, Oba Masood Aweda Lawal, whose encouragement and wisdom played a significant role in fostering unity and development within the local government. He highlighted the Iba’s royal support as invaluable to his administration’s success.
The former chairman expressed deep appreciation to the people of Irepo Local Government for entrusting him with the opportunity to serve, while he acknowledged their cooperation as the cornerstone of the achievements realized during his time in office.
Additionally, Oyetunji conveyed his gratitude to his Vice Chairman, all the supervisors, councillors, Special Assistants, and everyone who worked diligently with him. He commended their dedication and hard work, which were instrumental in the collective success of his administration.
Oyetunji then called on the community to extend maximum support to the new Chairman of the council Alhaji (Hon.) Taoheed Tunde Olayiwola (TT) and his team, emphasizing that continued cooperation and collective effort are essential for the ongoing progress and prosperity of Irepo Local Government.
Hon. (Pastor) Joel Oyedokun Oyetunji’s tenure as Chairman was marked by significant strides in the advancement and development of the council, while his departure is met with widespread appreciation for his outstanding contributions.
