In a fervent display of political fervor, Hon. Joel Oyedokun Oyetunji, the Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Kisi, took the center stage during a mega rally on April 25, 2024, rallying support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidates ahead of the Saturday election.
Leading the charge was the endorsement of Hon. OLAYIWOLA TUNDE TAOHEED, popularly known as “TT,” the PDP’s flag bearer for the chairmanship position.
Addressing mammoth supporters at various joints around Kisi town, Hon. Oyetunji passionately called upon the residents of Irepo and its environs to unite and cast their votes en masse for Hon. TT and all the Ten PDP Councillorship candidates come Saturday, April 28, 2024 polls.
Emphasizing the need for continuity in governance, he highlighted the achievements of the PDP-led administration led by Engr. Seyi Makinde at the state level and that of the Local government under him. He therefore, urged voters to ensure the party’s dominance in the forthcoming elections.
The rally was attended by key stakeholders of the party including the Special Adviser to the Deputy Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Yusuf Ajagbe, the Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs,Hon. Sola Badmos, the Director-General of the Campaign Committee for Irepo Local Government, and the PDP party chairman Rasaq Jelil Adewale, Alhaji Ismail Odejide, supervisory Councillors, all serving Legislative members, Specia Adviser to the Chairman, women and youth leaders across the 10 wards , and many other stalwarts of the party resonated with fervent calls for more dividends of democracy.
