In his bid to further strengthen the security network in and around Itesiwaju Local Government area of Oyo state, Hon. Ojo Bolaji Akintola, the Executive Chairman of the council has equipped security agencies in the Local government with new Bajaj motorcycles.
The Presentation of those security apparatus was done at the secretariat complex of the Local Government in Otu.
Prior to the presentation of these motorcycles, the monthly security meeting was held which had in attendance the Divisional Police Officers of the three police stations in the LGA, the heads of NSCDC, the state security service and other security agencies, heads of communities, traditional council members in the council and the management team led by the Head of Local Government Administration, Princess Oladiran .O.O. were also on ground.
In his words, Hon. Ojo Bolaji Akintola tasked all security personnel present to be more proactive in their security surveillance, noting that criminality seems to be on the high side these days and that the only way to give dividends of democracy to the people in this regard is to protect their lives and properties, especially protecting them from kidnapping.
The council boss therefore announced to the meeting that each security division would be going with a new Bajaj motorcycle.
Speaking further, Hon. Akintola then urged them to see to the proper usage and maintenance of the motorcycles.
