The Oyo State Government has revealed that the state high court order backed its demolishing of buildings believed to be Yoruba Nation Agitators hideouts.

Commissioner for land, housing and urban development, Mr. Williams Akin-Funmilayo, revealed this while leading newsmen inspecting the buildings at Boluwaji and Ayegun communities of Oluyole Local government area.

Mr. Akin-Funmilayo said the order issued on the 16th of this month by the Oyo state high court indicated that the buildings believed to be Yoruba Nation agitators hideouts which did not only housed dangerous weapons, but abode activities threatening peace and tranquility of the state.

While guaranteeing people around the communities and Oyo State at large, safety and secure environment, the commissioner urged them to be cautious of happening in their milieu.

Residents of Sagari, Boluwaji, said they never suspected any nefarious activities from the occupants of the building that belongs to one Alhaja who is in Abroad, while Community leaders at Odo dudu, Ayegun Area narrated how agitators fully armed in military camouflage took off from the area on Saturday.

The Oyo State Government had on Monday demolished the buildings believed to be Yoruba Nation agitators under the leadership of Mrs Modupe Onitiri-Abiola, are operating from in Ibadan the state capital city.

Newsmen also inspected demolished Yufeng recycling resources Nig. Limited, a factory suspected to be engaging in illegal lithium mining in Oluyole Local Government area of Oyo State.
