The Clerk of the Oyo State House of Assembly Mrs Yetunde Oludara Awe has congratulated Muslim faithfuls all over the world on the Eid – El-Fitri celebration, urging them to imbibe the lessons learnt in the month of Ramadan.
The Clerk gave the charge in her message to felicitate Muslim faithfuls on the celebration.
“On behalf of the Speaker of the Assembly, all Hon Members and Management staff of Oyo State House of Assembly ,I congratulate Oyo State House of Assembly Muslim Community and Muslims all over the world on the glorious end of the holy month of Ramadan and I pray God rewards faith and submission fasting during Ramadan and forgive all shortcomings”.
According to the statement ,”Muslims should have faith that all prayers and supplications made before and during the month of Ramadan has been accepted.
“Ramadan is a period of devotion, patience, humility, tolerance, forgiveness, kindness and other virtues which should be maintained before, during and after the fasting period is over.
“There should be continuous prayers for Nigeria and most especially Oyo State at this challenging time, let’s pray for wisdom for our leaders, peace , progress and prosperity for the nation.
“The month of Ramadan helps to improve on morals, good character and quality minds in pursuit of higher goals for which there should be no turning back”
The statement then wishes all Muslims and non Muslims alike, a fun filled holiday period .
