The Nigerian Army has released the names and photos of 16 soldiers killed by irate youths at Okuama and Okoloba Communities in Ughelli South and Bomadi LGAs of Delta State.
Youths of the areas ambushed the military officers who came to restore peace between two warring communities.
The Defence Headquarters released the names and photos of the deceased soldiers on Monday evening.
The deceased are Lieutenant Colonel A.H. Ali, Major S.D. Shafa, Major DE Obi, Captain U. Zakari, Sgt Yahaya Saidu, Corporal Yahaya Danbaba, Cpl Yahaya Danbaba, Col Kabiru Bashir, LCol Bulus Haruna, Lal Sole Opeyemi and LCpl Bello Anas.
Others are LCpl Hamman Peter, LCpl Ibrahim Abdullahi, Pte Alhaji Isah, Pte Clement Francis, Pte Abubakar Ali, Pte Ibrahim Adamu and Pte Adamu Ibrahim.
I am too worried about the sudden death of these gallant Soldiers who were out to make Peace. Obviously, I am sad and will continue to be sad when I remember this unfortunate incident. I will continue to cry until God help me out. It not a sin to choose a Career one loved. For God sake, please and please, fish out these animals in Human Flesh. I don’t want to go into details how these gallant Soldiers were cruelly murdered. May their their faithful Departed Souls Rest in Peace, Amen.
My question, how can these miscreants killed these gallant Soldiers cheaply? O my God, I am sad . The Military will look into this, I want to know. To the families of these Gallant Soldiers, please, take Heart. May their Souls through the Mercy of God Rest in Peace, RIP, Amen
