Ace broadcaster and actor, Ambassador Opeyemi Ayanrinde popularly known as “MC SWAGGER” has commiserated the family of the late Olubadan of Ibadan land Oba Lekan Balogun and the Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde on the passage of the monarch.
Ayanrinde an astute politician from Ibarapa East (Eruwa), who is also Special Assistant on Mobilization to the Speaker of the state, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin described the death of the monarch as a colossal lost to Ibadan, and the country as a whole.
Ayanrinde who also doubles as the Oyo State Coordinator for the Forum of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Business Membership Organization (BMOs) of Nigeria said the development recorded during the reign of the highly educated and revered Monarch would always be reckoned with in the history of the ancient city.
“I prayed for the soul of the late Ibadan monarch, and I commiserate with rulling house of Gbenla Aliwo of Ibadan, people of Ibadan and family. May the soul of kabiesi rest in peace, may Ibadan land continue to enjoy peace, love and unity.
“On behalf of the MSMEs National President, Director General, Council Chairman, National BOT Chairman, National Working Committee and Oyo State MSMEs Forum, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of late Oba Lekan Balogun (Olubadan of Ibadan Land) as he joined his ancestors.
He said Oba Lekan Balogun, will greatly be missed for his kind gesture, sustenance of love, peace and unity among the traditional rulers, people of Oyo State, and the entire Ibadan community both at home and in the diaspora.
“May almighty Allah continue to bless, protect, guide and lead everything he left behind, he concluded.
