Ibadan based juju music maestro, Ojo Adedayo Oluwafemi popularly known as Dayo Success has admonished government and stakeholders to strengthen the music and entertainment industry in order make it rank international standard and as well create opportunities for members.
Ojo Adedayo gave the admonition during a courtesy visit to office of the Chairman House Committee on Information, Media and ICT in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Waheed Akintayo who represent Oluyole Constituency in the Assembly.
The vibrant musician who also is a song writer and composer said there is the need for government and stakeholders to do more to advance and improve the entertainment industry in order to attract investors.
He said the visit was aimed at identifying with Hon. Akintayo’s contributions to the media and ICT sector adding that his quality representation to the sector is commendable.
“We are glad for the opportunity you granted us to visit you today.
It is with great pleasure that we embark on this courtesy visit to identify with your laudable achievements and also relate with you as the Chairman House Committee on Information, Media and ICT.
“There is no doubt that your committee is affiliated with the entertainment industry, hence, our visit to your esteemed office for collaboration.
We thank God for your achievements and good records since you gracefully assumed office sometimes in June 2023. You remarkable achievements in health, Security and others are commendable.
“I have been following and observing your activities since you assumed office. We really appreciate your quality representation to the media and entertainment industry.
“Also, the visit serves as an opportunity for a meaningful exchange of ideas, collaboration and synergy in the bound that we share, as well as the various issues of significance to the music industry and my career as a Singer.
“Secondly, the visit aims to strengthen the existing relationship between us and your office, recognizing the importance of partnerships. We solicit your support for the music cum entertainment industry such that will further strengthen us.
Responding, the legislator, Hon. Akintayo while thanking them for the visit assured Dayo Success and members of his team of his support for the media and entertainment industry.
According to him, the media and entertainment sector have remained the largest employer of labour, hence government would continue to identify and support the industry.
“As a stakeholder in the media industry I will continue to support the course of the media and entertainment industry. I want you to feel free to relate and reach out to me in any area you want us to work together, I shall gladly be ready to contribute and support the course of development.”.

He is a very creative and humble artiste who has carved a niche for himself in the industry. He believes in collaborative efforts and opportunities that can drive the Industry to higher levels.
