“It is saddening and very unfortunate that the nation Nigeria is experiencing such unwholesome development without recourse by government to finding a lasting solution to the menace of killing and kidnapping in the country.

“Just a few days ago, two monarch in Ekiti and another one  Kwara states were killed while wife of Kwara monarch was kidnapped after killing the husband, though released. Also in Iwere ile in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State some farmers were killed while others were brutally injured in an attack by some bandits, it is high time government at all levels take drastic steps in addressing this menace before it get out of hand “

Dr Raymond noted that  the fear of being attack or killed has sent many farmers away from farm, saying this development may cause food shortage in the country and Oyo state in particular.

While commending the Oyo State House of Assembly and governor Seyi Makinde for taking prompt action on the matter, he urged the lawmakers to ensure that they get to the root of the matter and bring the perpetuators to book.
