Police debunk abduction of Oyo Tipper Lorry, Quarry PMS Chair in Ibadan

Alleged abduction of the Chairman , Oyo State Tipper, Lorry, and Quarry Park Management System, Alhaji Akeem Akintola, popularly known as KUSO, by unknown gunmen and another man, Segun (surname yet unknown) has been debunked by the Oyo State Police Command

Recall that “KUSO” was allagedly abducted in the early hours of Saturday around the Ajiboye area, Omi Apata, Ibadan, the state capital.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, PRO, SP Adewale Osifeso, the alleged abduction as claimed in some quarters, is mischievously untrue and a complete misinformation.

The statement said: “The Oyo State Police Command wishes to clear the air on events surrounding the alleged abduction of one Alhaji Akeem Akintola aka “Kuso”, ‘m’ and another Segun, “m” (Surname yet unknown) both members of the Oyo State Park Management Systems as claimed in certain section of the Social Media as being mischievously untrue and a complete misinformation.”

“In furtherance of the above, the duo were invited by intelligence operatives who were on lawful duty from the Force Headquarters, Abuja in connection with their alleged involvements in criminal offences, which include; Criminal Conspiracy, Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery and Unlawful possession of firearms.”

“The complaint is under investigation as update will be provided in due course. While reassuring residents of Oyo State and indeed the general public about the Commands’ total commitment in securing lives and property, the Command also enjoins the good people of Oyo State to always provide timely and credible information capable of nipping crime in the bud to the Police at all times.”
