The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Afijio Local Local ably led by Comrade Sheriff Olayiwola today organised the New Year get-together party for the entire workforce of Afijio Local Government.

In his welcome speech, the NULGE Chairman Afijio Local Government, Comrade Sheriff Olayiwola expressed his profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman of the council , Hon. Sunday Akindele Ojo (SAO), the entire Management and Staff of Afijio Local Government and Afijio West LCDA for their cooperation and unflinching supports so far.
” I so much cherish the sincere love and confidence you have in me, I will never take it for granted. My team counts on your moral support this year and always, please don’t let us down”, Comrade Sheriff Pleaded
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman Hon. Sunday Akindele Ojo (SAO) ably represented by Hon.Bimbo Adekanbi congratulated the entire, workforce of Afijio Local Government and Afijio West LCDA while he wished them a prosperous year 2024.
The council boss further solicited the continuous support for the present administration in Oyo State in other to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
In his goodwill message, the Oyo State NULGE President Comrade Ayobami Adeogun commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde for being a listening governor. “His Excellency has never disappointed the labour leaders in the state” the NULGE President stated.
Comrade Ayobami Adeogun also gave Kudos to the Executive Chairman of Afijio Local Government Hon. Sunday Akindele Ojo(SAO) as he is replicating the gesture of the Executive Governor in the grassroot.
Also speaking, the Head of Local Government Administration Alhaja Amdalat Salau charged the staff to be more dedicated to their primary assignments this year in other to appreciate the kind gesture the executive governor demonstrated through timely payment of salary and other monuments, timely promotion and others.
The event witnesses the Yoruba proverb competitions, dancing competitions, health talks, security talks among others.
Other dignitaries in attendance at the event included; the Vice Chairman of Afijio Local Government and the Political Head of Afijio West LCDA, Hon. Oyebamiji Oluwatoyin,the OC SSS Afijio Local Government and the Division Officer, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp NSCDC, Afijio Local Government – Superintendent Makanjuola
