Samuel Ladoke Akintola Memorial Foundation is set to honour some notable personalities who have contributed immensely to the immortalization of the late Premier of the Western Region.
The lecture and award ceremony is scheduled to hold on January 25, 2024 at the parliament building, the Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
According to a statement signed by the Foundation’sCoordinatorr Mr Yemi Adedokun and PRO Mr Remi Oladoye, other awardees include, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Former President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Oluseyi Makinde, former governor Abiola Ajimobi, Speaker Oyo state House of Assembly Hon. Debo Former House of Reps Leader, Hon. Mulikat Akande Adeola, Senator Ayoade Adeseun.
Others are LAUTECH Ag. Vice Chancellor Professor Rom Kalilu, Dr Kayode Ogunleye, Alhaji Abolade Salami, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat and others.
The statement reads further that a lecture will be delivered by Professor Popoola, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo. Prince Dotun Oyelade will speak on the life and time of Ladoke Akintola.
South West governors, Traditional rulers, captains of industry and others from all walks of life are expected to grace the occasion. Amb. Yomi Akintola and Dr Mrs Bimbo Akintola are the Chief hosts.
