The General Servant, Shiloh Bible Mission, Akingbile, Ibadan, Evangelist Remi Aderoju has admonished government at all levels to involve and engage the services of monarchs, Baales and heads of community in security issues in order to curb and reduce criminal activities in the country.
Evangelist Aderoju who is the Baale Eleyele Asipa Ajobiare community in Ibadan, gave the admonition while speaking on the need for government to engage the services of community leaders in security issues, saying since they are the closest to the people, engaging them will be very meaningful.
According to him, Baales and head of community are the closest to the people and are very conversant happenings in their environment, hence they have information that can assist government to unravel
issues of security in their respective areas and locations.
“Government need to be more diplomatic on the issue of security by engaging the service of monarchs, Baales and heads of community in the task of curbing and reducing crimes in the country. For instance, community leaders are very close to their people and they are conversant and have informations of happenings in their areas.
“If any meaningful thing will have to be achieved in that regard, government need to engage heads of community in the task.”
The versatile gospel singer, Evangelist Aderoju said the emmegence of state police will no doubt contribute to the development adding that government need to synergise with the security stakeholders in order to achieve maximum security measures in crime reduction in the country.
He said plans are on by his office to synergise with security agencies to curb and reduce criminal activities in his community, Eleyele, Ibadan.
Speaking on his emergency as the Baale of Eleyele community, Evangelist Aderoju a former scribe to Performing Musician Association of Nigeria (PMAN), South West and the state levels said, “I became Baale three years ago but I recieved my certificate in May 8, 2023 from His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, the Olubadan of Ibadan land.
“I have since been working on how to fastrack development into the area.”
On how he manages his time and office as head of community and clergy, Evangelist Aderoju said God has been helping him since his calling revolves in community services and pastoring a church.
“God has really been helping me. I was Secretary for PMAN, Oyo State and Western Zone, and I am also a gospel singer. My calling centers on community service, leadership and Church planting. I am not lacking in any of this areas because God is with me, he added.
Evangelist Aderoju who assured that the menace of land grabbing under his headship will be tackled head long urged government to find a lasting solution to the problem of corruption in the country, noting that it has eaten deep into the fabrics of the nation.
According to him, government need to invest more on education, health, roads, power among other infrastructures to make the nation rank among great nations of the world.
He urged government to be sincere and faithful with his programmes in year 2024 in order to make Nigerians heave a sigh of relief.
