Irepo LG Chair, wife welcome first babies of the year

In a heartwarming start to the new year, the Executive Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Pastor (Hon.) Dr. Oyedokun Oyetunji Joel, and his wife, Mrs. Christianah Oluwayemisi Oyetunji, have extended warm welcome to the first four babies born in the Local government on January 1, 2024.

A statement by the Head of Information Unit of the local government, Julius Ogunbiyi, the council boss , Hon. Oyetunji expressed delight for being part of the special moment, emphasizing the importance of celebrating the newborn within the community.

While congratulating the families of the newborn babies, wife of the council chairman,Mrs. Christianah Oyetunji, visited both maternity centers to personally rejoice with the families and present them with gifts to commemorate the occasion.

She shared words of encouragement with the new parents, highlighting the significance of local government and the shared responsibility in nurturing the child to become good citizens of the society.

The occasion took place at the two prominent maternity centers, namely Olorunsogo Maternity Center and Mapo Maternity Center in the council area.

The babies, born in the early hours of January 1st, 2024, were born to the families of Sulaiman Racheal of Budo Boola (a female child), Amidu Amidat of Jagilegbo Compound (a Male child), and Moses Alimat of Budo Folo (a female Child).
