
The Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Michael Adaralewa has charged men and officers of the command to be more committed to their duty in order to advance the course of the organization.
Adaralewa gave the charge on Thursday at the decoration ceremony of eight hundred and one (801) newly promoted personnel of the command, held at the command Headquarters, Ibadan the Oyo State Capital.

The development, according to him, followed the recent unprecedented promotion of twenty one thousand three hundred and eighty five (21,385) officers nation wide who have earned well deserved promotion to various ranks into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Service Board (CDCFIB) under the supervision of Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

He gave breakdown of personnel promoted in the command to include: 9 Deputy Commandant of Corps (DDC), 26 Assistant Commandants of Corps (ACC), 37 Chief Superintendents of Corps (CDC), 137 Superintendents of Corps (SC), 180 Deputy Superintendents of Corps (DSC), 324 Assistant Superintendents of Corps 1 (ASC1) and 88 Assistant Superintendents of Corps II(ASC II)

Dr Adaralewa said with this array of newly promoted personnel, the NSCDC Oyo State Command is now better equipped than ever to fufill it’s mandate, adding that they have a stronger, more experienced and more motivated workforce ready to tackle the security challenges confronting our state.
“We are confident that with this renewed vigour, we will continue to be a new pillar of strength and stability in the state.”
The NSCDC boss, while thanking the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the Commandant General of the NSCDC Dr. Ahmed Abubakar for being instrumental to the promotion urged the newly elevated personnel to justify their promotion by being responsible in the course of their duty.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you all on the well deserved recognition. Your promotion is a reflection of your dedication, hard work and commitment to the ideals of the command. So, I urge you to uphold the highest standard of professionalism, integrity and service to the nation.
“As you assume your new ranks, I Want to remind you that with increased responsibility comes greater accountability, you must strive to justify the confidence reposed in you by demonstrating exemplary leadership, mentorship and guidance to your subordinates. I also urge you to use this promotion as a call to higher service and responsibilities.
“To those officers who were not promoted this time around, I encourage you not to be discouraged. Promotion is a process, and there will be other opportunities, continue to work hard and stay focused and maintain a positive attitude, your dedication and commitment will eventually be recognized and rewarded.
Some of the promoted personnel who spoke with Journalists thanked the Minister of Interior Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the Management of the NSCDC for the elevation.
Olubiyi Ayodele Oludamola, one of the elevated personnel who was promoted from Assistant Superintendent 1 to Deputy Superintendent of the Corp expressed gratitude to the Minister of Interior, Dr.Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the management of the command for the promotion, adding that the development would motivate her in the course of her duty.
