The Ogbomoso resident of former Governor of Oyo state, late Adebayo Alao Akala has been razed by fire, a source close to the family has confirmed.
The source said the fire outbreak occured at the early hour of Monday morning between 7:30 and 8a.m.
Sources said the fire outbreak may not be unconnected with an early morning electric surge.
Two people were said to have lost their lives to the fire outbreak at the residence of the late former governor.
It was reliably gathered that the fire outbreak, which occurred at around 8am on Monday, was caused by a power surge.
