New Akwa Ibom Apete Youth Exco Admonish to lead by good example, love

The Youth leader, Akwa Ibom Youths Forum, Ibadan, Oyo State, Comrade (Dr) Udoro Efre has called for unity and love among  leaders and members of the forum such that will unite and enhance greater development among members of the forum in the state.

Dr. Udoro  made the call at the inauguration of new executives of the forum in Apete Community, Ibadan adding that the exercise was a normal occasion for choosing new leaders in the forum.

According to him, the aims and objectives of the Forum is to ensure that members of the forum in the state are given necessary support,  assistance and a  sense of belonging in the state.

“The inauguration of new leaders (Excos) for Apete Community is a normal routine for us, and other activities that came up was to show appreciation by members of the forum who was sponsored to Tower Polytechnic and graduated via scholarship scheme and one other who benefited from fashion designing scheme and was provided with an industrial sewing machine.

“The Forum has assisted many members in divers schemes and  field of human endeavours in order to make them self reliant, and we have plans to do more for anyone who shows interest in any scheme or education.’

Dr. Udoro while appealing to the state government to extend a  hand of fellowship to the Forum in order to further strengthen them admonished the new leaders of Apete community, led by Comrade Akparawa Clement Edet to lead by example and further unite members of the community.

“We urge the new leadership to be accomodating, friendly and supportive to the members and show quality leadership skills to enhance development in the area. The purpose of the forum is to help and assist one another and that is what we have come to do here.

“When any member has problems, we should all rise to the occasion and assist such person to move on in life. The forum is ready to assist anyone who is interested in going to school or learning any trade or vocation.”

He advised the Akwa Ibom community leaders to always lead by example, just as he assured the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde of the cooperation of members of Akwa Ibom in the state such that will foster peace and development into the state and the people in particular.
