Sons and daughters of Ibadan land, have been urged to continue to support and pray for greater development under the reign of the Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II.
The urge was contained in a congratulatory message of the President General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Barrister (Chief) Ajeniyi Ajewole while celebration the achievements of the monarch who marked his 81st birthday on October 17, 2023.
Chief Ajewole who extolled the virtues of the revered royal father said the Olubadan has displayed high level of leadership since he ascended the throne.
“I congratulate the Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II on his his 81st birthday and his peaceful reign in the ancient city and the state as a whole. I wish him happy birthday, long life, prosperity, peaceful reign and many happy returns.
“I pray that Kabiyesi will live long on the throne, in peace and tranquility. I pray that during his reign, Ibadan land will continue to grow from strength to strength and witness more development. I also pray that our new palace will be completed in December and Kabiyesi will be the first to live in the central palace of the Ibadan land. I wish the Olubadan many happy returns.”
Chief Ajewole who avered that the Olubadan is the symbol of heritage of Ibadan land, admonished the people to support and cooperate with the monarch, saying they have no other heritage than the stool.
