The late Ezendigbo of Ibadan land and Oyo state, His Royal Highness (HRH) Dr Alex Anozie will be buried on January 10, 2023 in Igboukwu, Aguata local government of Anambra state.
The wake keep for the late Anozie would come up In Ibadan on January 9, 2023 as a committee would be set up to laiase with the immediate family from the late Ezendigbo.
In addition, the process to replace the late king would begin in six months time after he would have been buried according to the Ohaneze constitution have been sufficiently mourned .
The process will start with a committee from the Eze Ndigbo in council asking over 99 town unions within Oyo state to send any of their candidates whom they deem fit qualified for the exalted position of Ezendigbo.
According to the constitution of the body, the would be Ezendigbo must be someone of integrity and impeccable character who must also be charismatic.
Subsequently, the candidate who emerges as the Ezendigbo would be crowned in the full glare of Ohaneze headquarters and the various town unions in Ibadan after thorough screening exercises.
