The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aryfad Travels and Tours Limited, Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, Dr Raymond Adeyinka Adewale has congratulated the new Soun of Ogbomoso land, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Laoye Orumogege 111, on his first official outing on Thursday at the Palace in Ogbomoso.
The monarch it will be recalled, completed his seven days seclusion rite known as ‘Ikije’ on Thursday, after which a prayer session was held for him at the palace.
Dignitaries, sons and daughters of the land trooped to the place to observe and pay homage to the king after the Ikije’ traditional rite.
Dr Adewale in a statement described the emergence of the monarch, Oba Ghandi Laoye as an act of God, calling on the people of Ogbomoso. land to support and cooperate with his reign.
According to him, the emergence of the monarch who is the 21st king to rule in Ogbomoso land is a welcome development adding that the it will go a long way to move the land forward.
Dr Adewale while commending the state governor Engr. Seyi Makinde for the new development in Ogbomoso land described him as a visionary governor who has continued to build and develop state.
“I congratulate Oba Afolabi Ghandi Laoye Orumogege 111, on his first official outing as the monarch duly ordained by God to rule, reposition and move Ogbomoso land and the people forward. There is no doubt that his ascension to the throne is an act of God to improve the people. I pray God Almighty will give him the grace, wisdom and strength to achieve success on his reign”
Dr. Adewale, a philanthropist and Aare Musulumi of Adamasingba and Environs who has contributed immensely to human development at various levels in the society and the state as a whole urged the monarch to rule the people as a father and shepherd, urging him to deploy his international connection to bring development to Ogbomoso land
Dr. Adewale then charged the people to cooperate and support the new king in his quest to move the land to greater heights.
