The Iyalaje General of Eleyele market community in Ibadan North West Local Government area of Oyo State, Mrs Tanwa Adenekan has called upon the market men and women in the community to throw their support behind the council’s chairman, Honourable Rahman Adepoju, to advance the development of the area.
The appeal followed the visionary leadership and developmental agenda of the council boss which he has demonstrated since he was democratically elected as the council’s chairman.
Mrs. Adenekan emphasized the remarkable progress made under Hon. Adepoju’s administration in education, healthcare, security, and the market system within the council area, adding that the laudable achievements has really improved the area in great dimensions. She then urged fellow market men and women to rally behind his agenda and intentions for the upcoming local government elections in 2024.
“We, the market community in the Eleyele area, have witnessed the exceptional strides and positive development achieved by Hon. Adepoju since his election as the chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government. His achievements span across various sectors, including health, education, human development, market development, security, and agriculture. Therefore, I appeal to all market men and women to cooperate and support his ambitions and developmental agenda for the entire local government.”
Mrs. Adenekan, who hailed Hon. Adepoju’s administration as the best the council has seen, assured him of the maximum support of the market community in their programmes. She also encouraged him to continue assisting in the administration and progress of the Eleyele market unit.
Furthermore, she highlighted the strong collaboration between Hon. Adepoju and the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, as a driving force behind the progress and significant development witnessed since the start of his administration. She described the council chairman as a visionary leader.
Assuring Hon. Adepoju of unwavering support from the market community, Mrs. Adenekan mentioned ongoing efforts to mobilize members for his success in the forthcoming local government election in 2024.
“With a solid track record of massive development under the local government boss leadership, we, the market community, are committed to supporting and working for him. His victory will enable him to further enhance and consolidate his developmental agenda in Ibadan North West Local Government.”
However, the Iyaloja also called for increased support and cooperation for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration to ensure the fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people of the state.
