The Presiding Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Ori Oke Idalare, Abanla, Eleyele area, Ibadan, Prophet Olu Jesuleti has expressed worries over messages of prosperity and self glorification which has become a routine and order of the day for many pastors and General Overseers in churches nowadays.
Speaking on the issue in Ibadan, the clergy, a vibrant Radio evangelist noted that many Ministers no longer preach true salvation but prosperity and material things of this world, saying the development which has become a phenomenon is a signal that the fire of the gospel is dying gradually.
Prophet Jesuleti who decried the lackadaisical attitude of some Ministers over the development described their actions as gross disobedience to God, saying the wrath of God is upon them if they fail to repent and return to God before it is too late.
Prophet Jesuleti said: “Many minsters have deviated from the kingdom work which has to do with preaching salvation message and the power of God to the people. Salvation which Jesus purchased for mankind with his life and blood is the first call of the kingdom work and that is what Jesus Christ laid down for us, but many have resorted to self glorification and money making venture.”
The cleric who attributed the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden to disobedience, revealed that God specifically told him to embark on Radio evangelism to preach salvation to the people, hence, his reason for embarking on Radio ministration.
“My reason for preaching on Radio followed the directive of God to reach out to as many as possible who are still living in sin. Jesus came and laid down his life so that man can be saved again, but it is unfortunate that some Pastors who are suppose to preach the message of salvation and lead sinners to Jesus now preach prosperity, materialism and self glorification. I pray it will not be too late for them to repent from and return to God. (Matthew 6:33).
“I must be sincere with you, so many who call themselves pastors have disappointed God by glorifying worldly things, while sinners by the day perish away. So many Altars have lost the fire of the gospel because of greed, covetousness and material things of this world. The Lord has told me to warn them to stop promoting self esteem and money, and return to Him.”
Prophet Jesuleti whose Tuesday Radio Evangelism on an Ibadan based Radio station, Noble FM has ministered salvation and power of God to many people said plans are on to extend his radio evangelism programme to other Radio stations across the nation.
According to him, Radio evangelism has great impact on kingdom building, adding that miracle work, signs and wonders do not guarantee heaven for any pastor or man of God.
He said many pastors are already carried away by the work of signs and wonders in their ministries, just as he warned them on the dangers of trusting that such will guarantee heaven for them
He said God specifically directed him to embark on radio evangelism to preach salvation, deliverance and power of God and win souls for Him.
