The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Aryfad Travels and Tours Limited, Ibadan, Dr Raymond Adeyinka Adewale has appealed to government at all levels to provide palliatives to the people of the nation to help cushion the hardship facing them, occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu.Dr Adewale said the development became imperative in the face of the hardship facing Nigerians on daily basis, adding that adequate provision of palliatives by government would go a long in addressing the economic problems in the nation.
It will be recalled that President Bola Tinubu announced the removal of petrol subsidy immediately after his Inauguration as the 16th President of the federal republic of Nigeria on May 29, 2023.
According to him, the step by the president was in good fate, aimed at revamping the dying economy of the country, hence, government need to take drastic action to provide alternative measures to help the people and also stabilize the economy.
Dr Adewale, the Aare Musulumi of Adamasingba and Environs in Ibadan the Oyo State Capital, while lauding the reforms and policies of President Bola Tinubu, said the developments were part of measures to ensure that the economy of the nation is returned to prime position
The travels and tours expert noted that the harsh economy situation in the country if not urgently addressed through provision of palliative would continue to adversely undermine the economy of the country.
“The reforms and economic policies of the president were intended to address the problems and shortcomings of the nation’s economy, and I want to assure the people that the dividends would generally turn around the nation and the people when they begin to materialize.
“There is no doubt that things are tough in the country at the moment due to the various economic challenges facing the nation especially the removal of petrol subsidy. The situation of things obviously show that the people are seriously facing tough times, and I want urge government to provide adequate palliatives to help the masses.
“I also want to appeal to Nigerians to be strong, persevere and pray for the country at this trying period, while we trust that God Almighty will intervene and grant us victory. The situation we find ourselves today requires collective efforts and understanding to deal with. I believe the economic reforms and policies of President Bola Tinubu will definitely give birth to a new and progressive Nigeria of our dream any time soon.”
Dr. Adewale who has contributed immensely to human development in the state and nation through his philanthropic gestures called on Nigerians to cooperate and continue to pray along with the present government in order to achieve a viable economy.
Dr Adewale said the people have roles to play in order to help the country grow in conformity with the agenda and good reforms of president Tinubu, saying there is hope for the nation if the people cooperate and do the right things.
