Oyo Police, NSCDC Vow to Collaborate, Strengthen Security Architecture in the state

The Oyo state commissioner of Police, CP. Adebola Hamzat has assured the state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Adaralewa Micheal of a robust collaboration and  synergy capable of ridden the state of  criminal elements.

 The police boss gave the assurance during a familiarization and courtesy visit to Adaralewa at the NSCDC command Headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan, saying both command will leverage on the existing cordial relationship between the two agencies in order to get ride of criminal elements in the state.

 The Commissioner of Police Adebola who expressed confidence on the security architecture of the NSCDC in the state said there is need for collaborative effort  between the two agencies towards combating insecurity in the state to a bearable level.

“I want to assure you that my command will continue to synergize and collaborate with your command with the sole aim of ridden the state of criminal elements. The two agencies, with God helping us will work in unison without rivalry towards enhancing and achieve  adequate security of lives and property in the state.”

The CP  who is the 45th Commissioner of Police in the Command thanked the NSCDC Commandant for  the warm reception, just as he  reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to continue working with Civil Defence and other sister agencies in the state to achieve positive results.

Responding, the state state Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr Michael Adaralewa commended the newly deployed Commissioner of Police, CP Adebola Hamzat, for the trust reposed in NSCDC and assured him of the Corps’ readiness to partner with the Police Command especially in information gathering geared towards tackling insecurity in the state.

The NSCDC boss  also used the medium to appeal to  the citizens of the State to always furnish the two sister agencies with credible information that will help them nip crime in the bud.
