Wife of former governor of Oyo State, Mrs Florence Ajimobi has made cash donations to the pilgrims in Makkah to complement efforts of the state governor in boosting the living standard of the pilgrims.
The money which was handed over to a former Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Honourable Lekan Afuye, was distributed among the female pilgrims in the state contingent.
In an exclusive interview with BCOS News during the distribution of the money, Honourable Afuye said the former First Lady was deeply touched by the news of travails of the pilgrims in Makkah and consequently transferred the money to support their upkeep in Saudi Arabia.
Mrs Ajimobi was reported to have appreciated the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde and the Amir Hajj who is also the State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Bayo Lawal in ensuring that the pilgrims are promptly brought back to the country.
Expressing gratitude to Mrs Ajimobi for the cash donations, the wife of the former Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government Alhaja Aderonke Afuye who supported her husband during the distribution of the cash gifts to beneficiaries in Makkah, described the Mrs Ajimobi as a kind hearted woman, who has assisted many people in the state
