Former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi has charged Muslims to have the fear of Allah at heart and not allow anything to shake their faith from Islam, saying God is faithful to answer their prayers when they diligently seek Him.
Alhaji Gbolarumi gave the charge on Thursday during the 2023 Gbegiri festival held at the Olugbesan family Compound, Agbeni area in Ibadan.
According to him, the charge became imperative in order to encourage Muslims to be steadfast in their faith and services to Allah and humanity.
Speaking on the essence of the occasion, Gbolarumi who is the Mogaji of Olugbesan family said the ceremony was aimed at appreciating the mercy and goodness of Allah to the family and also appointing new Baale ( Head of family and a new Imam for the Olugbesan family.
According to him, words alone cannot is not enough to express the mercy of Allah on his life and the Olugbesan family adding that his present exalted position today was the mercy of Allah.
“The installation ànd turbaning ceremony of the new Baale, Alfa Dauda Olayiwola and the Imam for the Olugbesan family will help to foster a proper administration in the family whereby the Baale will be able to prevail on the entire Olugbesan family with a view to ensuring that the whole family and house hold remain intact.
“I therefore charge all of you to remain united and shun acts capable taking your faith away from Allah because only Him can help mankind.”
Speaking while conducting the turbaning on the new Baale (Head of family), a renowned and respected Islamic Scholar Alfa Bamidele popularly known as ‘Baba Amunigun” charged the new Baale Alfa Dauda Olayiwola to preside on the with fear of Allah
He admonished him to see his new position as a call to serve the family, hence he should administer the affairs of the family with wisdom and fear of God.
Responding, the new Baale (Head of family), Alfa Olayiwola thanked Alhaji Gbolarumi for his roles at ensuring the Olugbesan family is well coordinated adding that they will ensure that his good legacies are sustained henceforth.
Alfa Olayiwola then called for the cooperation of members of the Olugbesan family to at ensuring that the legacies of the family are sustained through cordial relationship.
