Oyo Assembly Appoints Principal Officers, Adhoc Committee

Oyo state House of Assembly has appointed principal officers that will pilot affairs of the 10th Assembly.

The appointment was announced by the Speaker, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin during the plenary session of the Assembly on Tuesday.

The House also constituted a 7-man adhoc committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters to complete uncomplicated assignments from the 9th Assembly.

Some of the local governments where there are unresolved issues affecting Council Chairmen include, Oluyole, Kajola, Iseyin, and Saki West.

The newly appointed principal officer include, Minority leader – Hon Salami Ayinde Waliu (Irepo/Olorunsogo), Chief Whip – Hon Oyekola Gbenga Joseph (Atiba), Deputy Chief Whip – Hon Adebisi Yusuf Oladeni (Ibadan South West) and Deputy Majority leader – Hon Babalola Olasunkanmi Samson (Egbeda).
